Fisherman charged with murder of Good Intent pensioner

A 23-year-old fisherman was on Tuesday afternoon remanded to Prison when he appeared at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on a murder charge.The court heard that Joseph Rameshwar of Bellview, West Bank Demerara is accused of killing 72-year-old Jerry Rambeer of Lot 18 Sister’s Village, West Bank Demerara.According to police information, on July 1, 2018, at about 23:30h, it was reported to police that the pensioner’s body was seen lying at Back Street, Good Intent, West Bank Demerara in an unconscious state.Upon arriving at the scene, ranks reported that Rambeer’s body had signs of marks of violence, and he had a gaping wound on his head.
